Pirate Extravaganza Birthday Party -{Darien, Ga Photographer}
Posted on March 8, 2010, under Everything, Family.
I was excited I was invited to such a fun Pirate Party and also to be the photographer. Everyone was dressed up like pirates and walking around saying pirate things, “Ya olde Mateys” and “Arrrrrrr” LOL
It was really a great party, with activities like the crafts table so the kids could make there own pirate eye patch and hats, oh and also face painting. I really liked the painted beards the best. Thank you so much Susana for inviting me to photograph your party.

Newborn and Beach Photography -{Brunswick, GA. St Simons Island and Jekyll Island}
Posted on February 23, 2010, under Family, Infants and Newborns.
Two of my all time favorites sessions are newborns and beach sessions.
Newborns, while most photographers find them difficult to photograph and time consuming.. I love it and really seem to get the most satisfaction out of photographing them. Yes, the newborn sessions are longer than any of the other sessions, but for me they are the most rewarding. The time spent with these babies is so special. I am so honored each time that the families of these little babies put trust in me to capture the most important stage of their child’s life.
Beach sessions are so much fun. I have always loved the beach. The wind, the smells, the sand. My entire childhood was around beaches. My father was in the Navy, so we moved around a lot, but there was always a beach close by. From Hawaii, to Italy.. there were beaches within walking distance. Most of my beach session clients come from other states, so to capture there wonderful stay in our area and on our beaches, gives me great pleasure. For many years inland photographers have been trying to replicate our wonderful beach backgrounds… Nothing shows more fun and life than the real thing.

Family Portraiture Seminar – {Golden Isles Portrait Photographer}
Posted on February 5, 2010, under Everything, Family, Jekyll Island.
I had the pleasure attending Sam Puc’s Family Seminar. It was amazing! I came out so inspired. She is incredibly passionate and also emotional towards the few charities that she feels so strongly about. The first being NILMDTS that I am a member of.
The seminar covered family portraiture ranging from posing, marketing ideas, shooting techniques, marketing strategies and gear to extensive marketing plans. I would say that the marketing was the big part of this years seminar. She gave break down month by month marketing ideas and also seasonal marketing ideas. Not only for the big guys with big studios but also great ideas for those that shoot on location only or in a small bedroom studio. ![]()
She also did a live family session on stage, which included husband and wife and two small boys about the age of my small boys. (3 and 4) They were a riot for sure. What was nice about watching her work, was how she handled the chaos. You ealize that even she, has the same obstacles that the rest of us photographers have. ![]()
I will try to attend the other yearly seminars. She stated there will be 8 more, but not all conducted by her. Next year will be on passion or weddings I guess. That should be fun as well.

More Beautiful Holiday Families on Drift Wood Beach – {Brunswick, GA Photographer}
Posted on December 17, 2009, under Family, Holiday, Jekyll Island.
I must be the luckiest photographer ever. I have the best looking clients!
I met up with this family of three on Jekyll Island for their Holiday Portraits. I took them to Drift Wood beach. If you have never been to Drift Wood beach, you need to go there sometime. Its on the north side of the island and its very mysterious and rustic. It was very foggy on this day, which added very nicely to this unique area.

What to Wear – {Brunswick, Georgia Portrait Photographer}
Posted on December 7, 2009, under Everything, Family, Holiday, What to Wear.
What to wear to our session, is a question I get asked often. Does it matter? Yes it actually does. Check out this website for a easy visual understanding of why it is important on what each of your family wears to your photo session.
I would like to take it a step further. Lets coordinate your clothing choices instead of matching them. All white polo shirts and khaki pants seem fine and I have done a ton of them especially for beach sessions which are nice. Other sessions, choose colors that excite your family and make you happy, add accents of color and hues to your outfits.
Here is an example of what to wear. All these clothing choices are from, Banana Republic, Old Navy or Gap. The little girls red shoes however are from Cachet Kids.
I know that planning on what to wear can sometimes be daunting, but I hope this What to Wear post and the ones to follow this will help inspire you for your session with me.
