Holiday/Christmas Spirit! – {Darien, Ga Photographer}
I have heard more and more people this year are just not feeling the mood for the Holidays. You can drive around neighborhoods and pass 10 houses with no lights, to find only 1 house lit up. My house is no exception.. not one box was pulled down from the attic this year. Not that we didn’t want to, but we just did not have time and we are going to be out of town for Christmas anyway. Then all of a sudden it hit me.. out of no where… It was seeing the faces of my children experiencing the joy and wonder of the Christmas. I wanted to do a Christmas photo shoot of my younger boys at the studio.. and had invited Santa to join us for the special session… When Santa walked in my boys eyes lit up.. At that moment my heart filled more with love and joy than I could hope for. I will forever cherish these photos, more than I could cherish lights on my home or Santa and snowman nik naks all around the house.

50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration – {Jekyll Island, GA Photographer}
I met up with this loving family at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel to document the 50th wedding anniversary of their parents! The entire family was so fun and easy going. A lot like my own family I think. This couple celebrating their anniversary was also such a hoot. Singling songs and telling jokes.. I had such a great time with them.

The Beach Club Family Session – {St. Simons Island, Georgia Photographer}

Total Cuteness on Jekyll Island – {Brunswick, GA Photographer}
What can I say.. Im behind on blog posts “again” I do post regularly on the Jeannie Reeves Photography facebook page. You can always find me there posting new photos from recent sessions. http://www.facebook.com/jeanniereevesphotography
But, let me just say that I LOVE to be busy.. busy busy busy.. that is how the summers are around here… Most days it seems like Im running around with no direction, but actually Im in heaven. The trouble is if Im sitting around doing nothing I get depressed easy. I think that runs in my family. LOL
On to this blog post:
I met up with this little doll and her family on Jekyll Island for their session. It had been raining the day before and also earlier that morning. I had to reassure the mom that it would be fine, and we were still on for our session unless it was really down pouring.. but also I added (while knocking on wood) that I am pretty lucky when it comes to weather and sessions… she laughed, due to the fact that it was raining pretty good during our conversation. Low and behold, we get to the location and no rain! I don’t know what it is.. but this has happened to me more than a handful of times. This is the only reason why I don’t cancel my sessions due to rain at this time. That and I secretly would love to have a fun photoshoot in some nice rain.. nothing heavy, but good drops falling. Probably not a baby, but a fun family running in the rain with bright colored umbrellas would be fun. Don’t you think?

Two Brothers=Two Buds- {Brunswick, Ga Portrait Photographer}
Sometimes we get wrapped up thinking that portrait photography needs to be all proper and posed… but I really love it when we can just capture children being children.. with a little nudge here and there.. but mostly having fun and doing what they do best! Take these two guys.. They have fun all the time, together… They are brothers.. not twins.. but close. I guess you would call them Irish twins.. LOL OH and for those of you that don’t know me, these two guys are mine! Meet Ryan and Tyler. At this very moment they are both 3 years old. Tyler turned 3 on April 12th and Ryan does not turn 4 until May 4th. How fun is that? To celebrate their age 3 together, I the photographer, took them around our little county to different places and just let them have fun.. It was great!
Oh and just to reassure everyone.. they are not in the water.. LOL Just the angle of the camera that makes it appear that way… No children were harmed in making these photographs.

Babies and Kids on Jekyll Island – {Jekyll Island, Photographer}
I met up with these little guys about 2 weeks ago for a fun portrait session on Jekyll Island. The grounds surrounding the Jekyll Island Club hotel are my favorite place to do photo sessions or just to walk around. It was a tad chilly on this day, or at least in the shade, we were so happy to have the sun to warm us up in.
These boys are cousins… The oldest boy was so very happy and playful. I really enjoyed hanging out with him. Capturing those wonderful grins and smiles warms my heart. The baby also had a very precious smile and the cutest part was he smiled the best when his mom sang to him… My kids have the opposite affect when I sing. LOL And while we all love smiley babies and kids.. the crying baby photo is just so hard not to love. What do you think?

This one cracks me up.. The boy on the left is not too sure of his cousins driving skills.. He looks worried.
Look how happy this kid is.. The car is the Red Car in front of Indian Mound Cottage.
I just can’t help but to love this one. He has two perfectly placed tears even. 
This is what he spent most of his time doing that day, running after me and smiling.
