I will never get tired of photographing newborns. I love babies and newborns especially. I also love to witness the love and kindness of new parents with their newborn. That is something very special there. We do these sessions at my photography studio in downtown Darien, Georgia.

This family welcomes a bit of joy with the arrival of their newborn baby girl! – Darien, GA Portrait Photographer

I have captured many important family milestones in this families life. From weddings, Anniversaries, family portraits, newborn photography and even a birth session.

This newborn family session is bittersweet though. There is a baby girl of theirs that is missing from this family portrait. Their baby girl Jorja passed away on Halloween, 2011 to S.I.D.S. The studio had just had our Halloween Costume Fundraiser and Contest only days before. The voting was currently in full swing and I got a call from my husband telling me about the most horrible events that were taking place at that moment to this family. My heart stopped, I was speechless, my eyes filled up with tears. I ran to my computer to look at the photos I had recently taken of this beautiful baby girl. There were many, all full smiles and chubby cheeks. She was just a baby, only 8 months old.

Once word got out of her sudden passing, sweet Jorjas beautiful Halloween Costume Contest photograph began getting votes from everyone. People tried to help this family out how ever they could, and if they could not help out any other ways they voted for sweet Jorja. The family won 1st place, which included: $100 Cash/Debit Card(to be used anywhere), Free Standard Photo session with the High Resolution CD of all the photos and the Print Release. This family photo session with their new baby girl just born was their winning session. Yep, this mom was pregnant during the time her baby Jorja passed away. Too much to bare for sure.

While they have some joy today with the new addition of their baby girl. Their heart is still broken. They go on each day, because they have these precious and beautiful girls. I will tell you that these girls are all amazing. It is such a joy to have met each and every one of them, and Jorja too. What this family would give to be able to see and hold their baby Jorja again. No family should have to endure such heartache!

We miss you Jorja, and as the anniversary of your passing came and went, it was evident you are dearly missed and YOU will never be forgotten! YOU are forever in my heart!
